843.225.0111Anxiety and fear are two of the primary reasons why over 50% our population postpone or ignore necessary dental treatment. The results being that their dental problems only get worse leading to more fear and anxiety. Here at Bridge Dental our doctors have over 20 years experience in sleep dentistry. After your comprehensive examination and consultation, if you are a candidate for sedation dentistry, you will be given a prescription for a combination of medicine that induces sleep. This state of conscious sedation will allow you to be drowsy, but thoroughly responsive during your appointment. Very often, you will actually sleep through your appointment. When you return home you will take a long nap and when you awake there is a good chance you will have no memory of your visit. Of course you will be monitored throughout your visit by our Bridge Dental team and it is important that you have arranged transportation for these visits. Sleep dentistry is perfectly safe when performed by a qualified dentist and it has been a great solution for severely anxious patients for years. We understand your dental fears and we feel fortunate to be able to offer a means to overcome it in an effort to help you enjoy a healthy smile for a lifetime. Frank W. Adams, DMD
